Le Bus Burger

Or as they say themselves: "the best garlic burger in the world". And we can only agree... :-9

When we arrived in Sayulita about a month ago, there was one place that caught my eye. They seemed to be building up a new place in a small corner. And very soon their sign was up, even if the place wasn't ready yet. "Le Bus - the best garlic burger in the world". I got a bit curious, cause after three weeks of almost only Mexican food, a good hamburger would've been nice...

One evening we passed by and it seemed maybe open. We asked, and yes, they'd opened the very same night (21 Feb 2012). So, why not try? They kept bragging about their garlic hamburgers while making them and really raised our expectations enormously... Would it actually be that good? YES. It was. Or, it is... Today they've been open exactly two weeks and we've eaten there five times already! And, if that's not enough, we've ended up there some more nights just because... They are sooo nice. The owners. The staff. In the photo from left: Brett, Briettney & Brian. Briettney & Brian are married and is the cutest couple ever. Brett is their very cool friend. All following their dream. We love just hanging with them.

They've got a TV where we've been watching Champions League and other games. Today we saw Milan humiliate themselves to Arsenal. Tomorrow Barcelona is playing Bayern Leverkusen (spelling??) and we are in for a treat. We'll be test pilots for their Mahi-Mahi fish burger. :-)

So, if you ever go to Mexico and Sayulita, you will eventually get tired of Mexican food, and now you know where to go - Le Bus Burger!

Update 11 March: They've now also got both chicken burgers and Mahi-Mahi fish sandwiches. Of course we've already tried them both. Both very delicious. And, if you're there as often as us, you'll need some alternatives from time to time... Though I'm not sure I'll recommend it if you're a strict vegetarian, even though they do have a veggie alternative. This place is all about big juicy meaty burgers, especially hamburgers and garlic burgers in particular. :-9
